Technical SEO Audit

$575

A technical SEO audit finds what is stopping Google from crawling, understanding and ranking your site, and puts the fixes in order. It’s $575 and ends with a prioritized fix list. If you don’t have Google Search Console yet, I set it up, so we can see what Google sees. I work in person around Worcester County, Boston and New England, and remotely for anyone else.

Who it’s for

  • Sites whose traffic or rankings dropped and nobody knows why
  • New sites, or sites after a redesign or migration, that aren’t showing up in search
  • Businesses about to spend money on content or ads that want the foundation checked first
  • Sites where Search Console reports pages as “crawled, currently not indexed”

What I check

  • A full crawl of the site: broken links, redirect chains, pages that can’t be reached, and duplicate or missing titles and descriptions
  • Indexing: what Google has indexed and what it skipped, noindex and canonical tags, the XML sitemap and robots.txt
  • Core Web Vitals: loading speed, responsiveness and layout shift, on mobile and desktop
  • Structured data gaps: schema markup that’s missing, broken or describing the wrong thing
  • Crawlability: anything that wastes Google’s time on your site, such as thin archive pages or parameter URLs

What you get

  • A prioritized fix list: what to fix first, why it matters and how to fix it
  • Google Search Console set up and verified, if you don’t already have it
  • A clear split between quick fixes and bigger jobs, so you can decide what to do yourself

After the audit

The audit is a review. You can work through the list yourself, hand it to your developer, or have me do it. The most common fixes have their own fixed prices: Schema & AEO Markup, Performance Optimization and Local SEO Setup. For how these fit together, see SEO and AI search optimization.

I ran this same process on my own site: indexing reports in Search Console, thin pages taken out of the index, titles and descriptions rewritten, and images converted to WebP.

Common questions

How much does a technical SEO audit cost?

$575 for the audit and the prioritized fix list, including Search Console setup if you need it.

Do you fix the problems too?

Yes, if you want me to. The audit is priced on its own so you can choose. Many fixes are covered by the fixed-price SEO services above, and anything else is billed at my hourly rate.

Do I need Google Search Console first?

No. If you don’t have it, I set it up as part of the audit. It’s free and it’s the only way to see exactly how Google treats your pages.

Will this help with AI search like ChatGPT and Google’s AI Overviews?

Yes. AI tools rely on the same things: pages they can crawl, clear structure and accurate markup. The audit flags problems for both.
